Supply Chain Diversity Award
With around £300 billion of annual procurement spend, the UK public sector has huge influence over supply chains; from multi-nationals right through to micro-businesses. This new category recognises those buyers who not only embrace the principles of diversity but work to instil it into the fabric of their procurement activity. It showcases public sector bodies who have engaged successfully with all types of supplier, helping to create not just a fairer and more equitable society, but also unleashing talent and innovation that creates better public services.
Whether focused on a specific project or initiative, or related to an overarching approach, submissions that evidence how diversity is communicated and embedded in procurement practice will be celebrated here.
Open to: Scottish public sector organisations and private/voluntary organisations from within or outside Scotland with documented support from a sponsoring authority. For example, a written statement with the name and position of the sponsor, either within the submission or as an attachment.
Timescale: A GO Awards submission in this category must cover activity during the period January 2023 to June 2024.
